  1. While I like these photos, there wasn't a lot of action where I felt like I was involved. The pictures are pretty static and it would have been cool to see some more movement. I like the first one the best but I wish that it was more at 3/4 than right behind her. Excellent use of the indoor light though.

  2. i love how intimate these photos are! also, good job using a variety of angles. sports don't always beg for an action shot, and you've done a good example of that. top photo is my favorite! however, i wish the middle photo was a little more expressive. courtney's face doesn't spark me as the viewer.

    nice work, ian.

  3. awesome ideas! I like the angles you got and the vision of what goes on at a track meet in between all the action. I might have to venture out and say I kind of disagree with Andrea. I was a thrower for one year in high school, and for me Courtney's face just says it all, the concentration, the seriousness, the stillness before a throw.
    Looks great, nice job.

  4. Ian good work shooting somewhere different. The first one is my favorite... love that angle and feeling of getting ready for the race. I like how you were able to get images that show what was going on before the action happened. Very unique.

  5. the first shot is by far my favorite...though i wish it weren't quite so dark. but the angle you shot from is very effective. I also really like that she is the only one in the shot. great photo!

  6. Nice job Ian! Love the first one, it gives a really intimate moment of a track meet. I would love to see some tighter cropping on the last one. Courtney's face is so intense!

    Great work

  7. I like the second image. Her face tells a story. She is focusing on the moment. I also like how you captured her right before she was going to take part in the event.
